For Jackson.
By Jackson.
A builder, a Neighbor, and a lifelong Jacksonian.
John Allen is a lifelong Jackson native who believes there is no community better than Jackson, Tennessee. John believes the heart of Jackson is still found in its neighborhoods, and strong leadership can help preserve and strengthen our city.
John has built lifelong relationships through hard work and service through his residential renovation and restoration business of over 50 years, John H. Allen Company, Inc. He also served as a Jackson City Councilman for most of the 1990’s. During his service, he chaired most major committees and gained a deep knowledge of city finances, leading him to become the earliest investor and advocate for the revitalization of Downtown Jackson.
John’s goal is to make Jackson better for our residents. He believes effective leadership means making decisions, even when they are tough, unpopular ones. He understands the importance of balancing progress with stability and ensuring the checks and balances that protect neighborhoods while making Jackson attractive for new industries, families, and opportunities.
With decades of experience, a deep understanding of budgets, and a people-first approach, John Allen is ready to lead Jackson as the City Mayor with integrity, accountability, and an open door.
